This is a good hardcover. 1927 MacMillan Publishing London. This copy is good inside and out BUT please NOTE that although all pages tight to binding, the binding is cracked and that is apparent with mild separation between pages 224-225, 144-145, 128-129, 112-113 and 64-65. So there are about 5 areas where binding crack affect can be seen BUT again, all pages tight to binding. The pages overall are very clean, with only very light natural tanning from age and some spots of mild foxing. Prices according to condition notes. Red hardcover boards are also good with gold design front cover appearing very clear, clean and good and gold lettering along spine only showing light fading. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 274 pages.

It popularity grew to worldwide and is considered one of the best in Childrens literature and a classic. This edition is finely illustrated with 16 color plates by Warwick Goble.
