This is a very good set of two hardcovers. 1929 Scribners Publishing. NOTE: Volume One has 25 or so pages w underlined sentence or small note written in pencil in margins, Volume Two only has a few pages as such. The rest of pages in both volumes are very good. There is only very light natural tanning from age in either. The bindings are tight and straight. Red hardcover boards are also very good with only light shelf wear. The goal title lettering on front is only showing light fading. Overall both are very good and clean. This is a smaller set of hardcovers, designed for carrying around in pocket or purse. 12mo book size or 4.4" x 7" with 889 pages collectively including index.
Selections from Medieval Philosophers has been edited and translated, with Intro and Notes by Richard McKeon. Volume One covers Augustine to Albert the Great and Volume Two covers Bacon to Ockham. There are 9 chapters in Volume One 6chapters in Volume Two
