Jackson Hole Journal by Nathaniel Burt grew up in Jackson Hole, WY. His parents moved from Eastern America and were writers who also operated a dude ranch. People from the East traveled to the ranch to fish, ride, sing Western songs, write poetry and more. Some even stayed to operate dude ranches of their own. In this book the author tells the story of life in Jackson Hole. He watched it evolve from a frontier town to the resort town it became. Trials and triumphs dot the narrative, including the creation of Grand Teton National Park, which evoked bitter feuding amongst Jackson Hole residents.
