This copy includes a pamphlet from Saint Mary Selborne and three postcards: two of Jane Austen's house and one of St Mary's Church in Selborne, Hampshire. Super octavo book size or 8" x 10" with 256 pages including index.
The Natural History of Selborne by Gilbert White was first published in 1789 by Gilbert's brother. Gilbert White was a naturalist, ecologist and ornithologist. Over 20 years he documented the wonders of nature in Selborne, Hampshire England. The village still receives visitors today that are tracing the authors nature writings and natural history. This edition has been edited by Richard Mabey.
