This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1966 MacMillan Publishing Sixth Printing. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages actually still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with only light shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is good, showing light shelf wear including a tear top right corner which has been taped to prevent further damage. The jacket is clean and still mostly shiny and good overall. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 528 pages and photographic endpapers front and back.
The Proud Tower by Barbara Tuchman is subtitled A Portrait of the World Before the War, 1890-1914. Originally published in 1966, each chapter deals with various countries, times and themes, although all relate to the years prior to World War One.
