This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 1991 National Geographic Books. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean w no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Tan hardcover boards under jacket feature a gold design front and gold lettering along spine and are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is still clean and shiny with only light shelf wear corners/edges. Larger hardcover, imperial octavo book size or 8" x 11" with 288 pages including index.
The Curious Naturalist by National Geographic includes 300 photos illustrating topics such as the metamorphosis of a butterfly and the ecosystem found inside an acorn. Over 30 specially commissioned watercolors show the hidden life of a garden , the interior of a beaver lodge, and creatures that exist on the surface of a pond.
