This is a near fine (almost like new) set of 6 volume hardcovers with accompanying slipcases. 2000 Folio Society Edition. Each volume in this set is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean. The bindings are tight and straight. Each brown hardcover features a select illustration front with gold title/author lettering on spine and volume number in red. The hardcover boards are also near fine with only a hint of any shelf wear. The accompanying two slipcases are near fine with only a hint of shelf wear. Each hardcover is royal octavo book size or 7" x 10".

Churchill The Second World War contains the following titles; Vol One The Gathering Storm, Vol Two Their Finest Hour, Vol Three The Grand Alliance, Vol Four The Hinge of Fate, Vol Five Closing The Ring, and Vol Six Triumph and Tragedy. Written between 1948-1953, Churchill compiled the books using his own notes and access to official documents. It is an epic work of history and World War Two. It is a work by a leading participant on the direction of the war.
