This is a very good set of two large hardcovers, no slipcase as originally issued but accompanying dust jackets present. 1984 Little Brown Publishing. This set is very good inside and out, both volumes. Each is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean. The bindings are tight and straight. Blue cloth hardcover boards under jackets of both feature design in gold on front and gold title lettering on spine. Both cloth hardcover boards are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jackets are still clean and shiny on both with only very light shelf wear. Each volume is a larger hardcover, imperial octavo book size or 8" x 11" with 698 pages collectively including index and first lines directory.
The World Treasury of Childrens Literature is a two volume set featuring 140 selections representing traditional Childrens literature and modern favorites. Selections in the volumes include; Goodnight Moon, Babar, Curious George, Peter Rabbit, Paddington, Where the Wild Things Are, Cinderella and much more. Throughout there are lovely illustrations in both color and black and white to bring the stories to life for readers of all ages.
