This is a very good hardcover. Circa 1970's Kingsport Press Illustrated Junior Library for Grosset & Dunlap original publishers of Jr Library in 1947. This copy is very clean inside and out. The pages only have a hint of light natural tanning from age and are clean. The binding fine sewn binding as found in Illustrated Jr Library to ensure durability. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards are illustrated in full color front with solid blue back. Boards are very good with only light shelf wear. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" X 9.5" with385 pages and color illustrated endpapers front and back. Original Illustrated Jr Library books would be Grosset & Dunlap and not include the Kingsport Press note on copyright page so many are NOT original 1940 editions, rather circa 1970 reprints. Check copyright pages for appropriate edition information.
Little Men by Louisa May Alcott was first published as The Illustrated Junior Library classic literature in 1947 by Grosset and Dunlap Publishing books for children and young readers. The editions are finely illustrated in black and white line drawings and full color illustrations. This edition has been illustrated by Douglas Gorsline. This reprint edition circa 1970's from Kingsport Press continues the tradition of Illustrated Jr Library books
Little Men by Alcott was first published in 1871. It is an unofficial sequel to the authors previous work, Little Women. The characters from Little Women are reprised and revisited in this classic favorite.
