This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover w accompanying slipcase. Circa 1980's collectors reprint by Random House of the 1941 edition. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean w no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Tan hardcover boards are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying blue slipcase is also near fine with only a hint of shelf wear and features pastedown of title/author/publisher. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 1487 pages.
The Basic Works of Aristotle has been edited by Richard McKeon w Intro by the editor. Frontispiece of Aristotle opposite title page. Includes preface, Intro and biography. The original 1941 edition featured the works of the Greek philosopher and polymath scientists and was reprinted in this collectors edition with no copyright given but circa late 1980's.
