This is a very good hardcover. 1999 Barnes and Noble Books Publishing. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages only have very light natural tanning from age and are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight, featuring a sewn binding for durability and aesthetics. Attached satin bookmark add to the look of fine binding. Bound in brown hardcover boards, front features gold illustration/title/author and back as like illustrations in gold. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 714 pages. All three page edges are tipped in gold.
The Iliad and The Odyssey are epic Greek poems by Greek Poet Homer. This edition has been translated by Samuel Butler. Each poem contains a preface.
