Crow Dog Four Generations of Sioux Medicine Men is authored by Leonard Crow Dog and Richard Erdoes. It is the epic story of a Native American clan. The first Crow Dog was born in the 1830's, a comrade of Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. In 1973, his great-grandson, Leonard Crow Dog, was spiritual leader of AIM at the second Wounded Knee. This is the story of two centuries of struggle and triumph, heroic lives and survival. The photo spread adds to the narrative and epic generational story.
