This is a good hardcover that is showing wear but overall good and solid for age. 1938 Modern Library, Random House Publishing. This copy is good inside and out. The pages are showing light natural tanning from age but there is no foxing inside. There are a few "checkmarks" on the content page from previous owner but otherwise the pages appear free of markings. The binding is tight and straight featuring a durable sewn binding, preferable to glued and the binding is solid with all pages tight to binding. The red cover is also good, featuring Modern Library logo front and title/author/publisher spine. The lettering along spine is still clear and legible but there is some wearing to hardcover boards, see photo back cover to highlight the natural staining from dust, handling mild dirt. Overall a solid reading copy. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 1026 pages.
