This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase. PLEASE READ CONDITION NOTES- MINOR TEARS INSIDE. Heritage Press 1970 w slipcase and original Heritage Press Sandglass pamphlet. This copy is very good inside and out and although the pages are still crisp and clean pages 8 pages (23-25-27-29-31-33-35-36) have a small 1/4" tear along outer edge, does not interfere w text. SEE PHOTOS. Otherwise this copy would be considered near fine (almost like new) as it is crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards feature design front and back with green quarter cloth trim and gold lettering spine. The accompanying slipcase is solid and very good with only light shelf wear. Royal octavo book sizes or 6.5" x 10" with 198 pages.
The Poems of John Donne, 1970 Heritage Press, has been selected, introduced and annotated by Frank Kermode with wood engravings by Imre Reiner. Contents include: Songs and Sonnets, Epigrams, Elegies, Epithalamion, Satyres, Verse Letters, The Anniversaries, and Divine Poems. There is also an index of titles and first lines.
