This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase AND original Heritage Press Sandglass pamphlet. 1966 Heritage Press/George Macy. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages are actually still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight and features fine durable sewn binding. The hardcover boards are bound in linen-look covering with filigree design. The accompanying red slipcase is also very good with only light shelf wear. Standard medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 279 pages.
Hard Times by Charles Dickens was first published in 1854. It is a classic and favorite of English literature. It was Dickens' only novel not to have a London setting. Instead, it is set in a fictitious Victorian town. Themes include social class and morality.
