This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase AND original Sandglass pamphlet. 1966 Heritage Press. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean w no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight and features fine durable sewn binding with linen-like hardcover boards. The hardcover boards are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also very good and solid with only a hint of shelf wear. Larger size, imperial book size or 8" x 11" with 294 pages.
Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe was originally published in 2 volume in 1852. It had a profound effect on society at the time and helped fuel the abolitionist movement. The edition contains an Intro by Raymond Weaver and is finely illustrated with lithographs by Miguel Covarrubias.
