This is a very good set of 4 paperbacks. Spring/Summer/Fall and Winter Editions 1999. Each volume is very good inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean inside and the covers are very good with only very light shelf wear. The bindings are tight and straight. Bound in blue paper, the cover feature Great Lakes illustration and issue contents. Royal octavo book size each or 7" x 10" with 351 pages collectively between the volumes.
Inland Seas is the Quarterly Journal of The Great Lakes Historical Society. The journals and mission of the society is to provide the fascinating history of the Great Lakes. The society was organized in 1944 and maintains the Inland Seas Maritime Museum.
Some of the contents of these four issues include; Lake Erie Shore a Century Ago, Ward and Ward Sailors and Shipbuilders, Cisco Chasers of Lake Ontario and much more. Each has vintage photos and illustrations to highlight the history and legacy of the Great Lakes.
