This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1979 Heritage Press. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. NOTE: there is some spotting along outer page edges (see last photo) but does NOT carry over to inside. ALSO, previous owners name neatly written inside front cover bottom page, see photo. Rest of pages inside are still crisp and clean with no other markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Bound in royal blue cloth, the hardcover boards are very good with only a hint of shelf wear and feature profile of Franklin in gold front cover along with gold title lettering on spine. This copy does include the original Heritage Press Sandglass pamphlet that accompanied the edition at publication. Super octavo book size or 7" x 11".
The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin is the unfinished record of his life, written by Franklin from 1771-1790. Franklin called the work his "memoirs" but they became better known as The Autobiography of B. Franklin.
