This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase AND original Heritage Press Sandglass pamphlet. 1970 Heritage Press. Illustrator Fritz Kredel. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight and feature a handsome fine sewn binding for durability and beauty. Yellow hardcover boards feature various fairytale characters front and back and are highlighted with red quarter trim and gold lettering along spine. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 297 pages.
This edition of Andersen's Fairy Tales has been translated by Jean Hersholt and is finely illustrated in color by Fritz Kredel.
