This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1974 Heritage Press. This copy includes the original Heritage Press Sandglass pamphlet. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean w no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards are bound in cloth and feature illustration front and half maroon trim. The hardcover boards are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is very good but is showing shelf wear as seen in photo. Slipcase nonetheless is solid and very good. Standard medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 331 pages.
Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Brontë was originally published in 1947 under the pen name Ellis Bell. It was the only novel Charlotte Brontë wrote. The Gothic Romance novel is considered one of the greatest English novels written. Although initial reception was mixed, in the 20th century it was considered one of the best, if not the best, of the Brontë sisters works. This edition is finely illustrated with lithographs by Barnett Freedman.
