This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 1998 Abrams Publishing. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean w no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The Escape of Alexie Son of Tsar Nicholas ll is a history of what happened to the Romanov family. The Russian Romanov dynasty came to an end on the night of July 17, 1918, when the imperial family was executed by the Bolsheviks. Compelling evidence reveals that Tsarevich Alexei, 14 yr old son of Nicholas ll and Alexandria and heir to the throne may have escaped. This book reconstructs the historic events of the Russian Revolution and how the boy may have escaped. The authors are three scientists who have drawn from official Russian archives, records and documents and personal accounts of soldiers who were there. At the time of the book, the son of Nicholas had passed but the story of how he was wounded and alive but eventually fled into the wood has been passed down by his family and the research of the authors.
