This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1940 Heritage Illustrated Bookshelf, Limited Editions Club. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages are very clean with only a hint of light natural tanning from age, no foxing seen. The binding is tight and straight. All three page edges tipped in red as published. Blue hardcover boards are also very good with only light shelf wear. The dust jacket is missing. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 190 pages.
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame is the classic tale tale from the British writer that features Mole, Ratty and Badger. It was originally published in 1908. This edition features the classic and delightful color illustrations from Arthur Rackham. The edition contains an Intro by A.A. Milne. 12 color plates from Rackham are included.
