This is a near fine (almost like new) large coffee table style hardcover with dust jacket. 1986 Abbeville Press. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The only minor flaw seen is dust jacket is neatly price clipped inside front flap. The inside pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Tan cloth hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and shiny with only light shelf wear and price clipped inside flap. Large coffee table style book, slightly larger than quarto book size or 10" x 13" with 190 pages including index.
Falling Water A Frank Lloyd Wright Country House has been compiled by Edgar Kaufman Jr. with an Intro by Mark Girouard. The author was uniquely qualified to produce the book. Edgar Kaufman Jr. was both apprentice to Wright and son of the man who commissioned the house. The book describes the house and architecture in detail. One section focuses on the unique architectural design alone. Special features of this volume include never before published photos while under construction, the family in residence, room-broom pictorial survey in full color, architectural perspectives and more. The book is an amazing visual feast with the full color photos, architectural specs and drawings and more.
