This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1979 Heritage Press Edition which includes the original Heritage Club Sandglass pamphlet. This copy is crisp and clean inside. NOTE: there is light dust spotting along top outer page edges but does not carry over to inside. Inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. The tan hardcover boards feature leaf design front and back with gold title/author lettering along spine. The accompanying brown slipcase is very good with only a hint of shelf wear. Super octavo book size or 7" x 11" with 215 pages.
Two Plays for Puritans by George Bernard Shaw contains The Devil's Disciple and Caesar and Cleopatra. This Heritage Press Edition is finely illustrated by George Him and contains a preface by the author. The Devil's Disciple was written in 1897 and is set in Colonial America during the Revolutionary Period. Caesar and Cleopatra was written in 1898 and is the fictional story of the relationship between the two.
