After Tet The Bloodiest Year in Vietnam by Ronald Spector describes the vicious struggles in the jungles, mountains and rice paddies. Drawing upon released documents, accounts by GI's and his own experience as a Marine in Vietnam that year, he reveals how soldiers became caught between an ambivalent government and an intransigent North Vietnamese leadership. He explores lesser known aspects of the war and describes in detail the deterioration of military relations, the growth of drug culture, and even the experience of South Vietnamese soldiers. It is a comprehensive history.
