Peace Now ! American Society and the Ending of the Vietnam War is an oral history using personal interviews and archival sources that investigates the forces for and against the war. The author shows how labor supported the war throughout and Nixon used this to speak of the "silent majority" who were in favor of the war. It also shows how other groups against the war influenced social perspective and political will. It is an interesting and important work in the social history of America.
