This is a very good hardcover. Second Printing 1958 Yale University Press Edition. This copy is clean inside and out. The pages are very clean with no markings seen. The only light tanning is inside front and back cover with the inside pages free of tanning. Dark blue hardcover boards are also very good, clean with only very light shelf wear. Hardcover boards feature gold title/publisher lettering spine with no fading of cover or lettering. Crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" with 140 pages including appendix of history, text and suggested reading. Smaller hardcover designed to be a "pocket book" for carrying around and reading anywhere.
Yale University Press began printing The Yale Shakespeare series of William Shakespeare's works in 1918. Since then several reprints have been published in various editions bound in light to dark blue hardcovers. Reprints continued till 1966. Complete sets included 40 volumes.
This copy is the second printing 1958 All's Well That Ends Well. The play is one of Shakespeare's comedies and was originally published in the First Folio, 1623. This edition includes The Text, Sources of the Play, History of the Play, Text of Present Edition, and Suggestions for Collateral Reading. It has been edited by Arthur E. Case.
