This is a near fine (almost like new) mass market paperback. First Avon Book Printing 1992. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages only have a hint of light natural tanning from age and are crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight, NO creasing along spine. The cover is still clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. Standard mass market paperback size, 16mo or 4" x 7" with 309 pages.
A Dance at the Slaughterhouse by Lawrence Block is another great crime/detective fiction novel featuring Private Investigator Matthew Scudder. The police cannot prove that socialite Richard Thurman arranged the murder of his beautiful pregnant wife. But, her brother thinks Scudder can prove it. This case will drag the private investigator deeper into the mire than he has ever been before.
