This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1986 BOMC Edition with original Book of the Month pamphlet included. This copy is very good inside and out. It features same original oatmeal cloth hardcover boards as the first edition and facsimile dust jacket. Title and author lettering front and spine with addition of publisher on spine. Top page edges stained in maroon as originally published. The inside pages are still crisp and clean, NOTE: only marking seen is previous owners library stamp neatly embossed on first blank page (see photo). The hardcover boards are very good with only very light shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is also very good, still clean and shiny with only very light shelf wear. Crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" with 291 pages.
All Quiet on the Western Front is a semi-autobiographical novel by author Erich Maria Remarque who was a German veteran of World War One. It is considered one of the best war novels of all time. It tells the story of soldiers experiencing the trauma of war along with the feeling of being detached from society upon return from the war.
