This is a very good hardcover. 1931 Oxford University Press. This copy is very clean inside and out. The inside pages are remarkably clean and still crisp w no markings seen. There is only a hint of light natural tanning to pages from age with no foxing seen. The binding is tight and straight. Olive green hardcover boards feature gold title lettering front and spine. The hardcover boards are very good with only a hint of shelf wear and no fading. Crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" with 80 pages. Smaller hardcover designed to be a "pocket book" for carrying around and reading anywhere.
Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus is an Ancient Greek Tragedy. The Greek play was thought to have been composed around 479 BC and features Prometheus, a Titan who defies Zeus. Prometheus give fire to man and hence suffers the wrath of Zeus.
This edition has been translated with intro and notes by Gilbert Murray.
