This is a near fine (almost like new) large hardcover with dust jacket. 1984 B&N Books. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages inside are crisp and clean. The edition features a durable fine sewn binding, not glued as found in modern publishing. The gold hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is still clean and shiny, also with only a hint of shelf wear. Standard medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 1165 pages that include index of first lines along with an intro to the book by Leonard S Marcus.
