This is a very good hardcover. 1986 Readers Digest Best Books series. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean with no markings seen. Light green hardcover boards with olive green quarter trim are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The hardcover boards feature gold lettering along spine and Dickens design front cover along with title. This series of books from Readers Digest were designed to have a fine binding look for a basic book price. They are nice additions to any library without breaking the bank. The bindings are nice sewn bindings not traditional cheaper glued bindings and this adds to the "fine" binding touch. Standard medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 751 pages.
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens is the classic tale of Copperfield's adventures from youth to maturity. It was originally published as a serial in 1849 and in book form in 1850. This edition is finely illustrated with reproductions of the original by "Phiz" or Hablot Knight Browne the famed British artist and friend of Dickens.
