The American Rebellion Sir Henry Clinton's Narrative of His Campaign, 1775-1782, with an appendix of original documents has been edited by William B. Willcox. It is an historical detail of 7 years North America. Although Clinton was not in the forefront of history like Cornwallis and others, he held a crucial position of general for longer than the others. He led a British advance in the Battle of Long Island and claims to have planned the battle. His one triumph of the war was capturing Charleston. But, his failures were many, culminating with the British disaster at Yorktown.
This volume contains an extensive editor's intro, 4 maps including endpapers, and an appendix of original documents.
