This is a near fine (almost like new) smaller hardcover with dust jacket. 2003 Groundwood Books. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. Full color illustrated hardcover boards under jacket match jacket illustrations and are also near fine. Smaller 16mo book size or 4.74" x 6.25" with 130 pages.
Little Book of Latin American Folktales is edited by Carmen Diana Dearden with translations by Susana Wald and Beatriz Zeller. Multiple illustrators have provided superb color illustrations to bring the stories to life. 11 stories in all, including The Girl and The Fish, Whiteflower, The Griffin, Ocelot Jaguar and Lion, and more.
