This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. Limited Edition from Westvaco Publishing, 1972. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Red hardcover boards feature embossed design front and stamped title/author spine, they are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is is very good with only light shelf wear. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 171 pages.
Fables in Slang by George Ade is a collection of his stories and originally published in 1899. They are humorous and satirical "fables" on the struggles of everyday people to adapt and "fit in" to the new society of big cities. There are 26 stories along with a foreword about the author and the book.
