This is a very good hardcover. 1939 Platt and Monk Publishing. *SEE CONDITION NOTES*. This copy is clean inside and out. BUT there is a gift inscription inside front cover on first blank page, "to and from" and dated 12/24/47. ALSO the blue cover over hardcover boards was torn (see photo) and apparently glued along the way. This is not damaging to overall binding or book, but a cosmetic flaw. The inside pages are very clean with no other markings seen aside from gift inscription. The binding is tight and straight. Illustrated endpapers front and back. Twelve colored illustrations by Lansing Campbell highlight the stories. Medium octavo book size or 7" x 11" with 247 pages.
From Uncle Wiggily's Toothache to Uncle Wiggily and The Bad Dog, Uncle Wiggily and the Mumps, Uncle Wiggily and the Birthday Cake, the pages are filled with fun and gentle lessons from the elderly rabbit known as Uncle Wiggily. 36 stories fill the pages and are sure to engage readers of all ages. 35 illustrations accompany the stories, 12 of which are in color.
