This is a very good hardcover. 1911 American Book Company. This copy is clean inside and out. There is light natural tanning to pages from age but they are clean. The binding is tight and straight. Brown hardcover boards are also very good with only light shelf wear. Small duodecimo book size, or 4.75" 7".
American Book Company published what they called Eclectic English Classics between 1896-1911. The series was published as a "pocket book" series designed for easy carrying around in purse or pocket to be read anywhere. Each included an intro to the book with suggestions for study to expand on the title. They were popular at the time, not particularly rare today but a nice addition to any library and transportable in size to pull out and read anywhere.
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe is the classic adventure story of the high seas and being deserted on a remote island. Facing and surviving dangers of all kinds, the story is a classic of literature.
