This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover. 2004 Modern Publishing. This copy is clean inside and out. The binding is tight and straight. The full color illustrated cover is clean and shiny with barely a hint of shelf wear. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9".
Modern Publishing published a series of classic literature for children as a set in 2004. The stories have been adapted for young readers and as such as abridged and written for young readers to be introduced to classic literature. Each title has been fully illustrated with black and white line drawings to accompany the text. They are a great intro to literature for young readers without containing intensive or lengthy full text reading.
