This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1967 Heritage Press. This copy is very clean inside and out. The inside pages are remarkably crisp and clean given age. NOTE: only marking seen is previous owners name neatly written top corner first blank page (see photo). THIS COPY DOES NOT CONTAIN THE ORIGINAL ACCOMPANYING HERITAGE/SANDGLASS NOTES. The binding is tight and straight. Blue marbled-design hardcover boards are also very good with only very light shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is very good but does have light shelf wear along corners/edges. Slipcase is in matching blue marbled-design matching hardcover. Super octavo book size or 7.5" x 11" with 361 pages.

The selections are some of the most famous and poignant writings as selected by the author who is a renowned Jefferson lecturer and historian.
