This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1979 Octopus Books Edition. This copy is very clean inside and out. The pages are clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Red cloth hardcover boards with gold lettering under jacket are also very good with only very light shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is still clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear at corners/edges. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 655 pages.
Little Women and its sequel Good Wives is the story of four New England sisters and their day-to-day lives, quarrels, ambitions and love as they grow up and leave home. In Little Men, Jo is married to her professor and runs an unusual sort of school for boys. Classic literature that remains a favorite today. This edition is illustrated by Alexa Rutherford.
