This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover. 1992 Time Life Books. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Pages crisp, clean and free of markings. Binding tight and straight. Cover bound in maroon imitation leather w embossed design front only and color illustration front. Only very light wear to cover, mostly at corners or edges. Imperial octavo size or 8.5" x 11" with 183 pages.
Time Life published this series in the 1990's called The American Indians. Each title in the series focused on a different topic of American Native history. This title, Realm of the Iroquois, features the land and customs along with the history of the Iroquois tribes. Chapters include Forging an Alliance, The European Intrusion, The Shattered Confederacy, and essays the Land of the Iroquois, The Communal Shelter, The Importance of Wampum, The Legacy of Lacrosse, and High Steel Mohawks. Vintage photos and drawings illuminate the detailed text to bring the life and history of the tribes alive.
