This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover. 1987 National Geographic Books. Nat Geo published a series of 24 titles for their Books for Young Explorers Series. This is one of the books in the series. It is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Glossy hardcover has color photos front and is also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. Slightly larger size, Imperial octavo book size or 9" x 11" with 31 pages.
