It tells the story of the decade-long search for the lost ship by Greg Stemm and John Morris, two modern pioneers of deep-ocean shipwreck exploration. the ship was bound from New York to New Orleans after the Civil War and cargo included a fortune in gold and silver coins. Caught in a hurricane, it was believed to be lost in the Gulf Stream, beyond reach of divers and exploration. After years of frustrating searches, it was finally discovered strewn across the ocean floor. More the 51,000 coins and 13,000 artifacts have been recovered.
