This is a very good small hardcover. 1982 Silver Classics Edition, Students Edition with Study Guide.
This copy is very clean inside. The pages are very clean with no tanning or marks seen. The binding is tight and straight. The hardcover boards are very good but they do have light shelf wear along edges and corners (see photo). This edition was designed to be a "pocket book" for carrying around in purse or pocket for reading anywhere. The original author's intro by Shelley is included along with a preface. Included at the end of the book is a readers study guide.
Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus was written in 181 by English author Mary Shelley. It was borne out of a competition in 1816 between Mary Shelley, Percy Shelley and Lord Byron to see who could write the best horror story. Mary won. The classic novel remains a favorite today and has been adapted into film and republished extensively.
