This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. PLEASE NOTE: the first two pages have been removed from the book, one was a blank page and one would have stated the authors other works. Assumed they were torn/damaged and removed. Rest of pages are crisp and clean with no other notable flaws. This is a reprint edition, copyright 1942 but most likely later reprint not dated, circa 1960's and is a BOMC edition. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The binding is tight and straight. Brown hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear corners/edges. Crown octavo book size or 5.5" x 8" with 497 pages including index.
In Mythology by Edith Hamilton, the author gives an orderly and detailed presentation of Greek, Roman and Norse mythology giving the readers a modern key to the foundation stones of world literature. This edition is finely illustrated by Steele Savage.
