This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1979 Loeb Classical Library Harvard University Press. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Green hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and very good with only light shelf wear to corners/edges. Crown octavo boy size or 5" x 7" with 339 pages including index and glossary.
Claudius Galenus was a Roman and Greek doctor and philosopher. He was one of the most accomplished physicians and researchers of his time. His views greatly influenced Western medicine science for over 1,000 years. Sometimes considered the "father of anatomy" he was a medical author primarily but engaged in philosophical debates of the times.
