This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. Circa 1970's Time Life Art Series books. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Hardcover boards in tan with green quarter trim are near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also near fine, with full color illustrated frontispiece. Larger coffee table style book, quarto book size or 9.5" x 12".
The World of Turner from Time Life Art Library Series is an extensive volume of the artists life and work. William Turner was an English artist in the style of Romance and Watercolors. Considered a child prodigy, he was reclusive and somewhat eccentric. He traveled Europe and studied art the Louvre in Paris.
