This is a very good and rare hardcover. Chatty & Windus Publishing London, 1909 Volume lll ONLY. This copy is clean inside and out. There is light natural tanning to pages from age but they are clean with no foxing seen. The binding is tight and straight. Red hardcover boards with maroon leatherette quarter trim are also very good given age. There is light wearing to corners/edges but overall solid and very good. This copy, Volume THREE ONLY has small minor scuffs for cover, overall cover very good. Top page edges tipped in gold gilt which is still very good with only light wearing of the gilt which is often found in vintage gilt books. Gold title lettering along spine is still intact with only a hint of wearing to lettering or design. Crown octavo book size or 5.25" x 8" with 361 pages. Pink marbled endpapers front and back.
