This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover NO accompanying slipcase, slipcase missing. 2002 The Folio Society, London. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards have gold design front, gold lettering spine and are also near fine with only light shelf wear. Larger size, Super octavo size or 7" x 10.5" with 336 pages including index.
The Folio Book of Days has been selected with an intro by Roger Hudson. The Folio Society edition was specially commissioned and features over 500 entries that chronicle each day of the year. The selections are a snapshot of history and historical events that occurred on that day in previous centuries. The entries have been drawn from diaries, letters, eyewitness account, speeches and more. There are over 150 paintings, drawings and engravings accompanying the entries with nearly 100 in color. This chronicle of notable events showcases history with details and illustrations along with anecdotal additions.
