The Living Planet by David Attenborough is the story of the Earth and her plants and animals. The author visits the world over from Nepal to the Himalayas to the Amazon to bring the stories of plant and animal species and their survival and adaptations necessary to thrive. He also explores the cities of man and the artificial environments man created for his own habitation and survival. The Living Planet is the lessons of the jungle, the ocean and the concrete city and how creatures adapt and survive.
The work was the inspiration for the PBSD series that still engrosses viewers today.
